Lambing was good but oh so time intense, helping them, moving them, feeding and watering them, medications and helping with the ones that are not getting enough from the mother, and the list goes on. The first night back in my own bed was heaven!! I get so tired, loopy, stupid and sensitive during this time of year. I have a hired hand that helps me very 5th day, but the rest of the time I am alone and believe you me there are times I just sit in the barnyard and cry. Life is so very wonderful and beautiful but the tragidy of death takes its toll on my spirit. I just came in from a walk in the field to check the lambs - last night was rainy and the wind was up - they are just fine - the sun makes life good for them and me!
